1,000/- to watch Tanzanite vs Basetsana

With three days to the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup qualifier between Tanzania and South Africa, the national football governing body, TFF, has revealed entry fees for the match.

The Tanzanite camp under the tutelage of Rogasian Kaijage has been shifted from JKT Ruvu at Mlandizi in Coast Region to Msimbazi Hotel in Dar es Salaam in readiness for the match that will kick off at 4.00pm on Saturday at the ultra- modern National Stadium.

Tanzanite qualified for the second round after thrashing neighbours Mozambique 15-1 on aggregate. According to TFF acting secretary general Boniface Wambura, the lowest entry fee for the match is 1,000/- and the highest is 10,000/-.

Fans will part with 1,000/- for the green seats, 2,000/- for the blue and orange seats, 5,000/- for VIP C and B and 10,000/- for VIP A.

Meanwhile, reports from Johannesburg said Basetsana coach Sheryl Botes has named 22 players who will face Tanzanite in the first leg of FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup qualifier. Basetsana assembled in camp at the Garden Court on Sunday boosted by an even stronger support staff.

The South Africans advanced to the second round on a 7-2 aggregate win against Botswana. Botes said there will be no distractions to the preparations as the girls are now done with their examinations.

“The girls have completed their exams … we can now focus on the mission ahead as we look to overcome Tanzania in this crucial World Cup assignment,” she said.

“Our focus this week will be on sharpening the attacking formations. We want to go to Tanzania and get a positive result but most important thing is not to concede. This will make our task in the second leg much easier.”
