Abdallah takes reign at Lugalo golf

Youngster, Abdallah Yusuph fired an incredible score of two under 38 Stable Ford Points, to win the Info-Tech Zuku & Pepsi Golf Tournament played over the weekend at the Tanzania People’s Defence Force (TPDF) Lugalo course in Dar es Salaam.

Playing off handicap-5, Yusuph smiled home with a Zuku decoder after his impressive score. Apart from decoder he and other winners in different category received other awards from the sponsors. Iddi Mzaki, who was playing off handicap 6, carded two over 34 to win A Division top prize for the fourth consecutive weeks.

He overcame challenges from other rival to maintain his winning streak in the weekly tournament. The week also belonged to Gideon Sayore, who returned level 36 to finish Division B winner. The handicap-18, Sayore at least had something to smile this time around after experiencing weeks of elusiveness.

Ambassador, Charles Sanga, who was playing off handicap-18, settled second after he finished a point behind Division B winner. He managed 35 points. Handicap-11 David Muthungu was second runners up with 34 points on countback. It was also a good day for Mohamed Rweyemamu handicap-20, who fired 35 points to emerge the C Division winner. Noel Mheni handicap-19, who was the Division C winner last week, record 32 to finish second this time.

Sarah Dennis handicap-23 went on to take ladies top prize with 32 points as second position went to last week overall winner Vicky Elias handicap-10, with 30 points. Zuku representative Jacqueline Karanja, thanked players for their passion and for continuing turning out each week to feature at the event.
