Tanzania Bongo artist Alikiba apologized his supporters and fans for the cancelation of his Frankfurt tour in Germany on Saturday for a performance on the same date in Kenyan capital Nairobi.
Born as Ali Sale Kiba, the singer performed on August 5 at the Uhuru Park in the capital city at a political event of Nasa just ahead of Tuesday’s general and presidential election.
The Aje and Mwana hit maker mentioned in his official Facebook page the reasons for cancelation was not in his control and the promised the make up for the show in due course.
It is learned he is close to Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho and was revealed too in his performance over the weekend when at some point he danced holding the hand of Nasa presidential candidate Raila Odinga.
Earlier too Alikiba has performed on several of the political campaigns of Joho.
Alikiba is a Bongo flava artist and his debut album was Cinderalla, which turned to be one of the most popular selling records in the country as well as in eastern region of the continent. He has subsequently toured the European countries and United States.
In 2009 the singer released his second album titled Ali K 4Real.
Some of his popular songs include Ndugu Wangu, Najuwa, Sikuoni, Nakshi Mrembo, Kuteseka, Zaidi Yangu, Yatima, Njiwa, Sabrina, Raggatone, Msela, Nichuum and Namshukuru Mungu.
Meanwhile, the race for the next President of Kenya between Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga is very tight and the general election to fill about 1,880 positions.
