The Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa (ANOCA) Executive Committee are meeting in Kigali for their 2013 General Meeting at Gorilla Hotel.
The meeting will be attended by Anoca boss, Ivorian Gen. Lassana Palenfo, Algeria’s Mustapha Ibarraf (1st vice president), Dacosta Joao Manuel of Sao Tome & Principe (2nd vice president), Mauritian Hao Thy Voon Phippe Ha Shun (3rd Vice President), Matiohang Moiloa-Ramoqopo (Lesotho), Nigeria’s Habu Gumel (Treasurer) and Tommy Sithole of Zimbabwe (Secretary General).
The committee which was elected this year will serve for four years ending in 2016.
Meanwhile, Secretary Generals of all African national Olympic committees will meet on Saturday at Umubano Hotel to discuss various issues mainly efficiency and effective administration.
They will also discuss a wide range of issues including management, good governance, roles and responsibilities of Secretary Generals and resource mobilisation for NOCs, challenges and potential solutions for the existing problems. The participants, who started arriving in the country on Tuesday, will seek ways and means on how African NOCs can learn lessons from the 10th All Africa Games that were held in Maputo, Mozambique.
