Tanzanians have been advised to avoid corruption during general election because by doing so they may elect leaders who cannot serve the country diligently.
A Pentecost Church Tanzania Bishop Peter Konki said that eligible candidates should be elected for their dignity, love and their patriotic spirit in serving the people.
He was speaking at a Tanga pastors’ seminar held at Bombo area where he insisted that local government election scheduled for next year are democratically held.
He said Tanzanians should learn to reject political candidates who intend to use bribery as a weapon of getting support from the people, because when such leaders win the elections, they start planning how to generate money they used in the elections.
The seminar was attended by pastors, church elders and secretaries from Elim Pentecost churches in Tanga city, Mkinga District and Maramba area.
