Both teams will have to travel by road for their games.

Rwenzori who defeated Kenya’s Kengewa 25-14 in the opening fixture will have to sit through the 1200kms from Kampala to Mombasa by bus, a thing that has left the technical team worried about the effects of fatigue which plagued Victoria last Saturday.

Rwenzori who on Thursday will spend over 36 hours on the road to Mombasa while Victoria will again spend 12 hours on road to Nairobi, covering a distance of over 656kms.

Last weekend Victoria suffered a 70-15 defeat at the hands of Kenya’s Nyumbu and coach Herbert Wafula attributed the below-par display to long road travel.

“We are going for nothing less than victory because as last year’s finalists, this game determines a lot for us,” team Captain Alex Mubiru stated.

Last weekend Bamburi Rugby Super Series witnessed a total of 34 tries, 23 conversions and 10 penalties scored, making a total of 246 points, an average of 61.5 points per game last weekend.

UAP Papa‘s coach  Paul Odera, who enjoyed a big win last Saturday has said his team will be prepared against an expected backlash from Victoria.

Victoria Coach Herbert Wafula has not yet given up and is optimistic that they will deliver in Saturday’s fixture against UAP Papa at the East African Rugby ground in Nairobi.
