The ‘Grown Woman’ singer says that she wants to expand her brood, explaining that she enjoys being a big sister to Solange.
Beyonce Knowles hopes to make her 1-year-old daughter Blue Ivy a big sister. In an interview with ABC’s Amy Robach on Sunday, May 5, the wife of Jay-Z revealed, “I would like more children. I think my daughter needs some company. I definitely love being big sister [to Solange Knowles].”
The “Halo” singer is very protective of her daughter and will do anything for the little girl. “I just want to make sure that she can have a healthy, safe, normal life. In the back of my mind, she’s my priority. And life is completely different now. So I’m – I feel really, really just lucky that I can still do what I love, and now have a way bigger meaning. And that’s to be her mother,” she said about her daughter.
Besides discussing her family plan, Beyonce also responded to criticism about her Cuban trip with husband in April. Beyonce confessed that she was “shocked” to learn people’s comment about the trip, because it had purely educational purpose. “You know, it was such a beautiful trip,” she said.
“I met some incredible children. I visited some incredible entrepreneurs. And it was really, it was really educational for me. I learned so much about so many people and the country, and it was actually quite shocking,” Beyonce explained.
Beyonce and her husband went to Cuba in April during their wedding anniversary and people assumed that the couple went to the country for tourism purpose. Two congress members reportedly sent a letter to Treasury Department to seek for information if the pair had license to go to the country. It was revealed later that the superstars obtained educational exchange license to visit the country.
