Bloggers expose the rudest and most disgusting subway commuters

It’s an ugly world beneath New York City, and commuters have no shortage of places to go to report sloppy or disgusting behavior among those riding the rails in the Big Apple.

Sites like SubwayCouture.com are dedicated to shaming the train’s sloppiest and worst-dressed

Asking a New Yorker to tell their most disgusting subway moment will always result in a raunchy or cringe-worthy story – and straphangers no longer have to suffer in silence.

From the offenders who take up an additional seat with a bag or the degenerates disturbing the peace while clipping their nails, three websites have commuters covered.

The average rider may have a hard time relaxing after seeing some of the photos, including ones where people are defecating on the seat.

SubwayCouture.com exists for commuters to snap photos of fellow riders to make their disgusting or rude behavior known – as well as expose the train’s fashion victims.

It’s Halloween every day on Subway Couture, where photos show straphangers rocking dangerously bad hairstyles, beards, and crazy clothing.

The site says that its purpose is ‘to show the world what the freaks on the NYC subway system wear every day.

Similar websites include SubwayDouchery.com and GoingWithEddie.com.

The layouts are different, but the purposes are identical: To photograph and shame the city’s most notorious offenders.

Subway Douchery is run by comedian Tom Sibley, who opens the site to any and all submissions from riders who witness seat-hoggers, inconsiderate eaters or any other bad behavior.

Atop the site is an appeal to the world’s travelers, asking: ‘Got a picture? From anywhere in the world, planes, trains, automobiles! We want it all!’

This New York Jets fan seemed to take game day a little hard

Blogger Eddie Going, who runs GoingWithEddie.com, says he was inspired to start the website after he was struck by the complete narcissism of some riders.

Going told the New York Post: ‘It’s such a “me” society. That’s what it ultimately boils down to: “It’s all about me.”‘

He added that’s it’s also an issue of people simply feeling right at home on the train, saying: ‘People just are too comfortable in public places.

‘I’ve seen people taking their shoes off and putting their feet up,’ he said. ‘This is not your couch!’
