Brad Pitt Calls Matt Damon ‘Bast*rd’ Over Jealousy for His More Private Life

The ‘Good Will Hunting’ actor reveals having a non-celebrity wife affords him a certain level of privacy.

This may perhaps be the only instance being married to Angelina Jolie may be considered as a disadvantage to Brad Pitt. Academy Award-nominated actor Matt Damon, a friend of the “World War Z” star, says in a new magazine interview that his being married to non-showbiz wife Luciana Barroso allows him to enjoy a level of privacy that eludes his pal.

“I remember telling him that I walk my kids to school, and his face just fell. He was very kind, but he was like, ‘You bast*rd’ because he should be able to do that, too. And he can’t,” Damon recalls the time Pitt became somewhat jealous of him. Both Pitt and Jolie are practically swarmed by media and the public wherever they may be, being the globally-recognized couple that they are.

Damon adds, “I got lucky. I fell in love with a civilian. Not an actress and not a famous actress at that,” about his wife who is a regular Jane having met the famous actor while she was bartending at Miami Beach’s Crobar back in 2003. Damon expounds on the dynamic, saying, “Because then the attention doesn’t double – it grows exponentially. Because then suddenly everybody wants to be in your bedroom. But I don’t really give them anything.”

“They can try to stake me out, but they’re always going to get the same story – middle-aged married guy with four kids. So as long as that narrative doesn’t change too much, there’s no appetite for it,” says the 42-year-old thespian. “If I’m not jumping up and down on a bar, or lighting something on fire, or cheating on my wife, there’s not really any story to tell.”
