‘Bring Back Our Girls’ Blame Buhari For Lack Of Political Will

The BBOG movement lately blames Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari lacks political will to rescue the 218 Chibok girls who were kidnapped by Boko Haram militants group more than a year ago.

BBOG is for the Bring Back Our Girls.

Buhari had earlier said the government lacked credible intelligence to help rescue the girls. BBOG opposed the statement saying the government required political will to take decisive action.

BBOG added their address to the government has been signed jointly by its leaders Oby Ezekwesili and Aisha Yesufu.

Read during a protest march on the Presidential Villa the address said, “Mr. President must now exercise firm and dedicated leadership on rescuing our #ChibokGirls just as he would do, were the girls his daughters.”

The protestors were stopped at the Bullet Junction near the Head of Service building and were barred to enter the Villa.

Two years ago the Boko Haram militant group attacked a government boarding school of Chibok community and kidnapped 276 girls. The incident was followed by protests and campaign across the world as the government failed to rescue the 219 still missing.

It is believed the Nigerian military’s campaign may not be enough in locating the missing girls as the Sambisa forest is a tactical challenge entirely. It is dense, remote and vast.
