Chinese Ambassador To Tanzania Vows To Eradicate Poverty

Dar es Salaam – China seems to be almost making a promise to eradicate poverty from Tanzania provided the nation decides to completely agree with the proposed development policies with collective responsibility as well as with serious fight against corruption.

According to Chinese Ambassador to Tanzania Dr LU Youqing, China has the best strategies for the country about how to make it move forward at a comfortable pace of development.

Talking to the Daily News he said Tanzania is a nation of peace and stability and in about another twenty years it will attain such economic level that is enjoyed by China today. Currently the country is making headway in the continent of 54 countries.

Youqing added further China took about thirty years to reach the level and the development policies of Chinese government is believed to be soon ending up poverty and improve social services.

China attained independence in 1949 and currently it is the second largest economy in the world. The country claims more than 90 percent of the population is out of poverty.

The Chinese ambassador said Tanzania needs to change mindset of public workers to work on behalf of the nation.

He said promotion is to be offered to the committed leaders and not to the one with more academic transcripts as delivery is ultimately that matters. Delivery is the yardstick.

He appreciated the work of newly elected President John Magufuli, his latest approach to transform lives of rural areas people.
