Darts fans in Dar es Salaam are set for yet another treat this weekend when the Mamba Club of Kinondoni Studio host a special bonanza. The bonanza comes just weeks following last month’s successful Darts Bonanza organised by Upanga Darts Club.
The Dar es Salaam Amateur Darts Association (DADA) Secretary General, Lambert Rwihula, told the ‘Daily News’ in the city yesterday that all was set for the second bonanza which will be one of its kind.
Rwihula said that the two-day event to start tomorrow will draw both women and men players who will battle it out in team and individual events. He appealed to women to come forward in big number. Only men participated in the previous bonanza held at the Tanzania Boy Scouts headquarters in Upanga, Dar es Salaam.
“We are organising a darts bonanza this Saturday and Sunday at Kinondoni’s Mamba Club. It will be open to both men and ladies and I want to take this opportunity to invite players and fans to turn up in big number so as to make the event a success one,” he said. Rwihula added that on Saturday the bonanza will start in the afternoon, while on Sunday players will battle it out from morning.
He said that there will be cash prizes for the winners. The overall team winner will take home 200,000/-, while overall single player will pocket 150,000/-.
