The Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Keriako Tobiko has said he will not act on orders to prosecute former Prime Minister Raila Odinga over alleged incitement of the public.
The DPP cited media reports giving him an ultimatum to prosecute Raila for the alleged offence.
“The DPP wishes to state that other than what he has read in the media about the alleged utterances and ultimatum issued by the politicians in question, his office has not received any formal complaint,” he said in a statement to newsrooms yesterday.
Raila was under fire after his statement at a rally in Kisumu a fortnight ago claiming that the military rigged the last General Election.
