Four KEY players namely Faustin Usengimana, Idi Nshimiyimana, Abuba Sibomana and Kambale Salite have agreed to stay at Primus League champions Rayon Sports for two more years.
The Nyanza District Mayor who also doubles as the club chairman Abdallah Murenzi said that the quartet renewed their contracts on Monday.
The club is now looking forward to complete talks with skipper Aphrodis Hategekimana Kanombe and Burundian defender Karim Nizigiyimana Makenzi.
Usengimana who was on wishlists of Tanzania giants Simba and Rwanda thirteen-time champions APR ended speculations when he signed the two-year contract on Monday night as Amavubi team returned back from Ethiopia.
The Nyanza-based club has already secured services of 17-year-old midfielder Djihad Bizimana [Etincelles], defensive midfielder Arafat Serugendo [Mukura], Claude Rwaka [La Jeunesse] and experienced goalkeeper Jean Luc Ndayishimiye a.k.a Bakame (APR) all on two-year deals.
The defending champions are expected to begin pre-season training on August 1 before the 2013/14 national football league season gets underway in September.
