The giant carcass scared holidaymakers when it washed up on shore this week.
The Architeuthis Dux squid measured 30 feet (with tentacles extended) and weighed nearly 400 pounds.
It has now been delivered to the Maritime Museum of Cantabria, where the decision will be made for it to be displayed or dissected,
The squid is a rare find, this type is the largest invertebrates on earth, and usually stay at depths of between 1,000 and 3,000 feet.

“The animal died at sea and ocean currents brought it to the coast,” Talledo said to GrindTV. “The squid was in good condition except one [tentacle] had been broken.”
