Iraq has agreed to share ISIS intelligence with Russia, Iran as well as with Syria. Announcing the update, the Iraqi military said the step was well required as Russians in thousand have joined the Islamic State.
Secretary of State John Kerry said such all such efforts are to be coordinated.
Meanwhile, Russia has started building up an air base near Latakia in Syria.
US President Barack Obama and Russian President Vladimir V. Putin are scheduled to meet on Monday to talk probably on the issue. Ahead of it, Putin is also to address the United Nations.
The discussion agenda between the two has not yet been disclosed. White House as well as Kremin officials so far have denied talking on the issue.
Earlier, Obama has been heard saying on US networks the Syrian President Bashar al-Assad deserves to get support from international community as the country is the ISIS terror group.
In the recent weeks it has also been seen Russia has boosted up its military involvement in Syria. It has started sending combat aircraft, tanks and other equipment to the Syrian army.
Russia has criticized the plan of White House to train more than 5,000 Syrian rebels to fight against the ISIS. It added that only sixty fighters have been trained.
Critics too have urged Obama to become decisive in Syria and Middle East.
According to UN data, 250,000 people have lost their lives in Syria in past four years of conflict.
