According to the Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) Information Officer, Boniface Wambura, in total, transfer formalities of at least 37 players were incomplete, saying respective teams should sort the problems before using the players, otherwise they would face penalties.

Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) Legal, Ethics and Players Status Committee warned Simba not to field its foreign based players because none had a valid work permit while two Burundians, defender Gilbert Kaze and striker Amis Tambwe’s International Transfer Certificate (ITC) were yet to be secured from Vital ‘O’.

Simba were also warned not to field towering striker Betram Mombeki for what the committee suggested that his transfer from Pamba FC of Mwanza to Simba was incomplete.

The Msimbazi Reds have also been ordered to complete transfer formality for their youthful players Twaha Ibrahim from Coastal union and Adeyun Seif from Oljoro JKT. However, Simba’s Information Officer, Ezekiel Kamwaga complained “rough play” against them.

He laid a scathing attack against the committee, saying “there was something fishy” behind the latest move.

“It is again one of those ridiculous decisions…the whole move is characterized by foul play because with an exception of Kaze and Tambwe, all other players have valid work permits and there was nothing wrong with Mombeki’s transfer,” said Kamwaga.

Yanga have also seen their players –striker Hussein Javu and Rajab Zahir move from Mtibwa Sugar blocked because their transfer procedures were not complete.

It was explained that Javu still had a valid contract with Mtibwa Sugar and it was not clear whether the contract was terminated or otherwise.

Wambura said foreign players whose ITC and work permits were intact include Crispine Odula from Bandari Kenya and Yayo Fred from URA of Uganda who have joined Coastal union of Tanga. Tanzanian, Hamis Thabit Nyige who has joined Yanga from Portugal has also secured his ITC.

JKT Ruvu also has to complete transfer of Salum Machaku from Polisi Morogoro and Emmanuel Swita from Toto Africans of Mwanza, while Tanga’s Mgambo Shooting is required to do the same for Mohamed Hussein (Toto Africans) Kulwa Manzi (Polisi Morogoro) and Mohamed Samata from African Lyon.

Mgamboa Shooting are also yet to complete transfer formality for Aziz Gilla from Coastal Union, while Tanzania Prisons is required to complete transfer of James Magafu from Toto Africans and Six Ally Mwasekaga from Majimaji of Songea.

Other teams that have to sort transfers for their players include Coastal Union, Kagera Sugar, Ruvu Shooting, Mtibwa Sugar and Kagera Sugar.
