President Jakaya Kikwete has appointed Eng. Bashir Mrindoko to the post of Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Water.

A statement released in Dar es Salaam by the Chief Secretary, Ambassador Ombeni Sefue, said Mr Mrindoko has been promoted from Deputy Permanent Secretary, the post he previously held in the same ministry.
The statement further noted that President Kikwete has also transferred Eng. Mbogo Mfutakamba, who served as Deputy Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Security and Cooperatives to fill the vacancy left by Eng. Mrindoko.
It added that President Kikwete also appointed Eng. Raphael Daluti to the post of Deputy Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Security and Cooperatives to fill the vacant left by Eng.
Mfutakamba. Before his appointment, Eng. Daluti served as Director of Irrigation and Technical Services Division in the same ministry. According to the statement, the transfers and appointments are effective last Sunday.
