TFF Information Officer Boniface Wambura said that Wallace Karia, who is eying the Vice- President post and Vedastus Lufano who is contesting for Executive Committee post, have been objected for various reasons.

Karia’s candidacy is being questioned by Shamsi Kazumari of Dar es Salaam, who claimed that the Chairman of Premier League Interim Committee had allegedly influenced the committee to enter into “vague” long term TV rights deal with Azam FC, while knowing that their committee had no such mandate.

Wambura said Lufano is being challenged for lack of pre-requisite five years leadership experience in football by Samwel Nyalla of Mwanza. He said, the Election Committee, under the Chairmanship of Hamidu Mbwezeleni will meet today to deliberate the objections and make decisions.

Meanwhile, the fixture for the 2013 Under-15 Copa Coca-Cola soccer tournament at zonal level will be drawn at the Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) offices in Dar es Salaam tomorrow.

Wambura said that the zonal competitions will kick off on September 1 and called on all regions to submit their players’ registration forms today via TFF email tanfootball@ tff.or.tz and copied to
