He said that it was through exploration of opportunities that entrepreneurs could build up a strong approach towards winning better business operations inside and outside the country.
Dr Kigoda said at the ongoing 37th DITF that the show was an adequate platform to make local entrepreneurs learn how developed countries were doing business.
He said that increase of foreign countries from 11 last year to 32 with 400 companies this year showed clearly that Tanzania was doing great in economic issues.
He challenged local business community to focus in value addition to their locally made products, so as to win international market which is said to be competitive and difficult to penetrate.
“If we let this golden opportunity goes without learning something we should blame ourselves, this fair is international, which means it meets all international standards with advanced and skilled exhibitors thus we must use it profitably,” Dr Kigoda said.
He said that the show had won international certificate and recognition manifesting that it is one of the best organized fair, however, the authority concerned was looking forward for its improvement. He called upon all stakeholders including private sector through public private partnership (PPP) to join hands with the government to ensure that the premeditated plan of going beyond horizon is accomplished.
Dr Kigoda also described the ongoing international exhibition as the golden opportunity for it has taken place at a time when all people in the world were eying Tanzanian thus greatly exposing number of things about Tanzania in the external world.
Some of the unique features for this year exhibition, according to Dr Kigoda are for the first time organizing Tanzania pavilion to encourage buying local product and build the country.
“For the first time we have the pavilion for Tanzania as a country this is where we showcase all cultural and economic and social things about the country,” he noted, adding that there is also a honey pavilion for showing beekeeping activities and bee products.
