Former FUFA vice president Jowali Kyeyago is back in the federation’s leadership.
Kyeyago, who served in former president Lawrence Mulindwa’s administration, has been named as co-chairman of the finance committee.
Kyeyago was in charge of finance and later administration before being dropped at the start of Mulindwa’s last term. He will steer the five man committee together Rasul Ariga.
The federation’s new administration headed by Moses Magogo on Wednesday released 18 working committees. Five adhoc committees were also named together with two judicial committees.
Vision Group Managing Director Robert Kabushenga and Taban Amin, who were eyeing the federation’s presidency, have together with businessmen Godfrey Kirumira, Umar Mandela, Kaddu Kiberu and Sarah Nkonge been appointed Cranes Ambassadors.
The executive also approved for immediate implementation the club licensing regulations, FUFA competitions rules and regulations for the status and transfer of players.
The federation’s finance and procurement and human resource manuals were also approved at the meeting. These recommend the immediate recruitment of finance, commercial and competition directors. Decolas Kiiza is acting competitions director.
The communications section will also be restructured. A communication manager will soon be recruited. Under this post will be a media officer in charge of print, radio, TV, cyber and brands communication officer. Rogers Mulindwa remains the federation spokesman.
Mulindwa has urged the football fraternity to support the committees and changes with a good heart. “They should be received with a warm heart. Football can be served from anywhere.”
