Arthur Kyobe hit an unbeaten half century as defending champions Tornado added more misery to Nile, who they beat by eight wickets in Sunday’s Multiple Industries Division I Cricket League match at the Kyambogo Oval.

Elsewhere, Tornado B maintained their lead on top of the table with an 81-run victory over second placed Rounders at Lugogo, while Wanderers beat SKLPS by 59 runs at Entebbe.
At Kyambogo Nile, who had lost the first three games, needed a win to boost their chances of surviving relegation but their 122 runs was too easy a target for the defending champions.
Michael Ndiko (26) and Brian Masaba (19) were the only credible batsmen for Nile as Tornado’s Mohammed Akmal (4/26) and Raymond Otim (3/17) ran riot with the ball.
During the chase Kyobe struck an unbeaten 80 runs to overhaul the score in 20.1 overs with Tornado having eight wickets to spare.
But despite the win, Tornado must be wary about Tornado B, who have stretched their unbeaten run to five, in five outings.
The star studded side had Nicholas Kebba (47) and Jeremy Kibuuka Musoke (31) setting 197 runs for Rounders, before the latter collapsed for 116 runs in their innings.
