Foundation stone for leadership school was launched Monday by party leaders from six African countries at the Julius Nyerere Leadership School in Kibaha, about 40 kilometers from Dar es Salaam. The school is co-founded by Revolutionary Party of Tanzania, the Mozambique Liberation Front Party, the African National Congress of South Africa, the Zimbabwe African National Union-Patriotic Front, the SWAPO Party of Namibia and the People’s Movement for the Liberation of Angola.
It was a milestone ceremony attended by general secretaries of the six parties from southern Africa, head of the International Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Song Tao, Tanzanian President John Magufuli and several other high level officials.
General secretary of the CPC Central Committee, Xi Jinping, too attended the groundbreaking ceremony and congratulated the school for its outstanding initiative in the region.
In his address Jinping said the six parties who have taken such great step are important forces to lead the national liberation and economic construction as well in each of their countries.
He added it is important the six parties jointly build the Julius Nyerere Leadership School as it will strengthen their self-construction apart from make relevant improvement in their governing capacity.
Jinping continued further saying that the parties will be playing active roles in the development of their respective countries.
President John Magufuli in his message said the six parties are thankful to the CPC for all the continued support and even because the organization stood beside them in the struggles for national independence.
