Former Prime Minister and Monduli legislator, Edward Lowassa has asked Maasai families to invest in education as the only way which can help them to develop.
Former PM, Edward Lowassa looking at desks which were donated to Ujirani Primary School by KCB Bank recently when he visited the school today. Lowassa donated 500 iron sheets.
Lowassa gave a call as he attended fundraising event at Ujirani Primary School in Morogoro district-Morogoro today.
“Visit Monduli, you will see how your fellow Maasai have used their cattle to improve educational sector. You can develop if you invest in education.”
Lowassa who is remembered for his influence in Ward Schools program criticized his fellow Maasai for contributing only five cattle.
“This is a joke…only five cattle, I ask each family to provide at least one or more in order to complete construction of this school as soon as possible.”
In his visit Lowassa contributed 500 iron sheets which will be used for roofing the constructed classes at Ujirani.
Ujirani Primary School which has more than 400 pupils has only two teachers.
