Mariah Carey vamps it up in selfie ahead of single release

She has been busy adapting to motherhood, but the diva in Mariah Carey is officially back – at least according to her Instagram account.

Mariah is surrounded by people in the glamorous ‘selfie’ shot

The American songstress posted a picture of herself on the photo-sharing website which showed her returning to her buxom, bouffant, glamour mode.

Posing in a dressing room mirror and joined by husband Nick Cannon, the 43 year-old can be seen surrounded by colleagues – one of whom appears to be a make-up artist holding a blusher brush.

The transformation clearly worked as Mariah – who is a mother to daughter Monroe and son Morrocan – looked every inch the celebrity with big hair and a bling ring on display.

She also revealed her ample cleavage in a pink teddy, which she tried to appear coy in – despite letting the right strap fall.

The shot comes just days before Mariah is set to release her new single, The Art Of Letting Go, via Facebook on 11 November.

Mariah told CNN that it was a personal song, but had universal meaning: ‘As a songwriter, I never like to be too totally specific, because I like people to be able to make it about their own life experiences.’

‘(But) there is an art to learning how to let go of things in your life, people in your life, things that are not good for you. Whatever the case may be.

No doubt Mariah is hoping the track – the second to be released from the album of the same name – will be a big hit. Especially given that the LP’s lead single only just made the US Top 20, last summer.

Soon after it was revealed that the album, which was scheduled for release in July, would be pushed back.

‘While making this album I got so immersed in the creative process that I just don’t feel I would be doing it justice to release it on 7/23,’ she wrote on Twitter.

Fortunately, it isn’t all about work. Mariah and husband Nick Cannon have also been enjoying parenthood.

Earlier this week the pair posted numerous pictures and videos of themselves enjoying Halloween.

Dressed in Superman and Supergirl costumes, the family of four entered the spirit of the season with carved pumpkins and candy.
