The Dutch coach has signed a six-month renewable contract with Yanga, replacing sacked countryman, Ernie Brandts.
According to Yanga’s website, Pluym left on Monday night to Turkey, where he will join the team that has pitched a two-week camp to prepare for the final phase of the Mainland Premier League and CAF Champions League.
Yanga’s Competition Committee chairman, Abdallah Bin Kleb was quoted by the website as saying that they have decided to hire the services of Pluym after being satisfied by his credentials, good track record and experience.
“We believe his experience will add up to the quality of our team especially in our focus to prosper in CAF Champions League this year,” Bin Kleb said.
Pluym was pleased with Yanga leadership for taking him on board, promising to repay back with efforts.
He joins assistant coach Charles Boniface Mkwasa ‘Master’ and Juma Pondamali to make up a complete technical bench at the Jangwani Street club. Pluym joins Yanga from Ghana side Berekum Chelsea, where he served as Technical Director.
