“The introduction of the T24 system is one of the innovations that will help personal and corporate customers using the new system and will boost banking facilities in the area,” said Muchiri.

He said the innovation aims at fast-tracking banking improvement of customer services for both personal and corporate clients who can finally enjoy banking services based on their personal and corporate circumstances.

Citing an example, Muchiri said with internet banking, one would no longer need to ask for daily statements from the bank to confirm deposits by their agents countrywide.

“They will be able to view these from the comfort of their offices or homes,” he said. He said further that NIC Bank was committed to continuing making the T24 system available in order to support and stimulate the economic development of the country.

He said since entering the market in May 2009 the bank has seen a steady growth on its balance sheet and during last year the bank crossed the 100bn/- mark both in assets as well as liabilities.
