Relationship between Nigeria and China has been becoming stronger in recent times and the latest is bilateral collaboration is expected to expand to tourism and culture too in coming months.
According to Minister of Information and Culture Lai Mohammed, the existing ties between the two countries require a boost through mutually beneficial programmes to help showcase heritage of both China and Nigeria.
He adds further a meeting had been held recently with them and Chinese Ambassador to Nigeria Gu Xiaojie to discuss further expansion of their bilateral collaboration. The Chinese counterpart showed interest in working together in all economic aspects as both the countries have some similarities that includes huge population and diverse cultural background.
Earlier, Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari too had visited and expansion to tourism has been planned thereafter.
In his visit the president urged business communities of both the countries to work hard and reduce trade imbalance between them. Currently the trade is in favor of China.
Buhar was addressing a Nigeria-China Business/Investment Forum in Chinese capital Beijing. He said economic and trade relations between the two countries must be mutually-beneficial.
