Tanzania’s President, Dr Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete has sent condolences to the Chief of Defense Forces, General Davis Mwamunyange following death of Major General (Rtd), Anatory Ruta Kamazima who passed away yesterday at Muhimbili National Hospital.

Tanzania’s President, Dr Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete giving his condolences to the wife of the deceased Major Gen. Anatory Ruta Kamazima when visited the family at Tegeta-Dar es Salaam.
According to the information revealed by the Directorate of Presidential Communications this evening, President Kikwete said he has received information of Major Gen. Anatory Ruta Kamazima death with a shock because it is a big loss to the Tanzania People’s Defence Force (TPDF) and the nation at large.
“I knew late Kamazima for all years in service as a patriotic person, trustworthy and with the heart of protecting his country all time.”
Dr Kikwete added that the country will never forget him for his distinguished service to the country and all Tanzanians.
“We will never forget him for his distinguished service.”
Today afternoon President Kikwete visited the deceased Kamazima’s family at Tegeta to comfort the family members.
Late Kamazima was born in 1946 at Maruku village in Kagera Region and joined in Defense Force in 1967 after completing University studies in 1966.
