Prominent South African women to speak at the 1st Women in Energy Africa Forum 2013 by IDEANOMICS Global


Women in Energy26th September 2013, South Africa – Eminent women from the ‘energy sector’ in South Africa are lined up to speak at the 1st Women in Energy Africa Forum 2013 including Barbra Thompson (Deputy Minister of Energy, South Africa), Tebogo Maenetja (HR Director, BPSA), Nosizwe Nokwe-Macamo (Group CEO, PetroSA), Priscillah Mabelane (Acting CEO of BPSA), Nelisiwe Magubane (Director General, Ministry of Energy – RSA), Thandi Orleyn (Chairman of the Board, BPSA), Ayanda Nakedi (Head of Eskom Energy, SASTELA), Phindile Baleni (CEO, National Energy Regulator of SA), Dolly Mokgatle (Executive Director, Peotona Group), Liziwe MDA (Strategy and Transformation Manager, BPSA), Lois Allela (Commercial Manager, Aggreko International Projects LTD), Esther Letlape (HR Director, Sappi SA), Katherine Kisila (Company Secretary and Legal Affairs Manager, National Oil Corporation of Kenya) and Nagula Hamunyela (MD, Engen Namibia).


WE Africa is a platform for women involved in the energy space to learn from international women leaders, connect with one another, share industry knowledge, and ultimately promote mentorship and facilitate increased participation of women in the energy sector. This innovative and unique event, conceptualized by IDEANOMICS Global, will take place at the Gallagher Convention Centre in Johannesburg, South Africa on the 1st October 2013.
