Flexible workspaces allow firms to quickly explore opportunities in oil & gas, telecoms and services sectors
Kampala – Two years on from the launch of its first business centre in Kampala, Regus has expanded its presence in Uganda. It’s opened up new workspace in the same prestigious building – Course View Towers – due to strong demand for its flexible workspaces.
The expansion means Regus, the world’s largest provider of flexible workplaces, has increased its footprint in Kampala by over 40 %, and it plans further expansions to meet the huge appetite for its workspace in Uganda.
Driving demand for Regus workspace are factors like East Africa’s energy boom and steady economic growth forecasts for the next 5 years. Regus has supported numerous oil & gas companies since it launched in Kampala in April 2011, enabling them to explore new energy opportunities.
Other factors driving demand are infrastructure development; investment in agriculture, information technology and industrialisation; telecoms development; and the growth of the middle class and local entrepreneurship. These factors mean demand for Regus workspace in Uganda is coming from both local SMEs wishing to expand, and international companies looking to explore the options here.
