The Chairman of CCM in Siha District, Mr Oscar Temi, has urged residents in the district to support the party closely as it is the only one with a clear vision for development.
He has also assured them that clean tap water will soon be available. Mr Temi said wananchi should support the party that cares them fully as the development achieved in several sectors is evident. The party, he said, is keen on making greater achievements this year. The chairman was addressing branch secretaries of the party’s affiliate organisations at the weekend.
He cautioned them not to be swayed by the opposition parties which are bent on breaching the prevailing peace and tranquility for personal gain. Mr Temi said Siha residents should not worry whether they had made the right choice as their party (CCM) will make sure water blues are eliminated.
The projects, he said, are in the party’s election manifesto and that strategies are in place. He said that water will be available to all soon and that no one will have to travel long distances to search for the precious resource as it will be available in no more than 400 metres.
The secretaries stand better chances to strengthen the party because they are always with the party members and should use meetings to persuade them to maintain their faith in the party so that it remains in power, said the chairman.
“We have done a lot in 37 years in providing social services like health, education, power supply and infrastructure development. So there is no reason to change the regime,” Mr Temi said.
Siha District was established in 2000 with one division and four wards but now it has four divisions and 12 wards. The logic behind the increase in the number of divisions and wards being to make sure citizens access social services at a reasonable distance.
Mr Temi said the district had one government- owned secondary school in 2000 but now it has 12 with a huge number of students who are doing relatively well in their lessons.
