Six Flags Over Texas is taking visitors to new heights.
The ride was officially opened on Saturday at the Six Flags Over Texas amusement park in Arlington
The park’s 400-foot tall Texas SkyScreamer officially opens on Saturday.
Six Flags Over Texas offered a sneak peek of its newest attraction, the tallest tower swing in the world, on Thursday.
“This is the perfect ride. It’s a really good addition,” said Paul Johnson, a Six Flags regular.
From the ride’s 40-story peak, 24 riders can catch a glimpse of much of North Texas.
“It might be 400 feet in the air but, you know what? It’s about the thrill of being a big kid again,” said Nick Canizales, who had a chance to ride the SkyScreamer during Thursday’s sneak peak.
The world’s tallest tower swing ride sends those foolhardy enough to get on it a whopping 400 feet up in the air
But the thrill is probably not for the faint of heart, Johnson said.
“You’re flying around like crazy, wondering if your heart is going to stop, wondering if you’re going to get out of this thing alive,” he said.
The ride officially opens to the public on Saturday. Season ticket holders will get a special sneak peak opportunity on Friday.
