KAMPALA – The Police have kicked off investigations into the death of a Spanish national suspected to have committed suicide at Sheraton Hotel in Kampala.

Florensa Jaume Betran’s body was found lying in a pool of blood on the hotel terrace located on the first floor Monday morning.
The Police said Betran, 25, allegedly jumped from the 12th floor of the hotel at about 11.00am local time (EAT), shortly after booking the room.
The Police, however, declined to reveal Betran’s hotel room number as investigations go on.
Ibin Ssenkumbi, the Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson said Betran’s passport indicates that he came to Uganda in June.
