The Tanzania Horticultural Association (TAHA) picked new leaders at the weekend, who vowed revamp the sub-sector.
The new TAHA leadership team saw, Mr Eric Ng’imaryo, elected chairman, succeeding Mr Colman Ngalo, after his ten-year tenure.
“I’m honoured and humbled to have been elected TAHA chairman and am looking at taking up the roles and responsibilities by working with the board and secretariat to ensure that our vision is attained,” said Mr Ng’imaryo.
A lawyer, commodity trader and a farmer, Mr Ng’imaryo pledged to enhance the performance of TAHA.
Mr Eric is also chairman of Arusha Blooms Company Limited, an active TAHA member and one of the leading vegetable producers and exporters.
