The National Sports Council (NSC) has organised a five-day course for sports medicine doctors and specialists to be held at the National Stadium hall in Dar es Salaam next week.
NSC Senior Sports Officer, John Chalukulu, said the course has been organised jointly by the council, Ministry of Youth, Information, Sports and Culture (MYISC) and the Department of Sports Development (DSD).
“The course will be conducted by specialists from MYISC, DSD, Tanzania Sports Medicine Association (TASMA) and Muhimbili Orthopedic Institute (MOI),” he said He added that the course aims to facilitate perfect and fast treatment of sportsmen to enable them stay in sports for long periods.
Chalukulu noted that the best way to improve the health of sportsmen is to have specialised doctors who will treat and cure them. The course will be held from Monday through Friday starting at 09:00am. Interested persons should confirm their participation to the NSC secretary general before Monday, next week.
