It will be a game of giants when Rwanda’s top two players face-off in the final of the inaugural Nyarutarama open on Sunday at the Nyarutarama tennis club.

Top seed Jean Claude Gasigwa goes into the clash against his close friend and archrival Dieudonne Habiyambere fresh from winning a record seventh ITF Money Circuit title on Friday.
Habiyambere, who was beaten in the semi-final of the regional tournament by Uganda’s David Oringa, reached the Nyarutarama Open final after edging out sixth-seeded Olivier Havugimana in two straight sets 6-4, 6-1.
Favorite Gasigwa also won in straight sets 6-2, 7-6 over seed three Olivier Nkunda in semi-finals.
In an interview with Sunday Sport, Habiyambere said,” it is going to be a tough final for me as I will be playing the number one and I have to play my best tennis if I am to have an chance.”
