Troops Killed Several Boko Haram Terrorists, Cleared Their Camps, Recovered Weapons

Troops of about 150 Task Force Battalion has killed several Boko Haram terrorists in last 48 hours after clearing their camps and have recovered vehicles, weapons and other equipment used by the militant group.

Colonel Sani Usman, spokesman of the troops, said they cleared the hideouts of Boko Haram terrorists in Izza as well as eight more places surrounding other villages.

Meanwhile, the troops deployed at Pulka are reported to have been under attack from suspected terrorists of the militant group.

The troops repelled the attack and killed seventeen terrorists. They recovered weapons including AK-47 rifles, AK-47 rifle magazines, Browning Machine Gun, and few more.

Troops of 115 Task Force Battalion conducted patrol to Dogwaba, Dutse, Mayolarde, Musa A, B and C villages and helped in rescuing many people.

Similarly, troops of 114 Task Force Battalion patrolled along Bitta-Pridang-Manawashe axis.

The spokesman added troops of 117 Task Force Battalion were on patrol around Mildo, Vapura, Shelmi, Gubla, Dar and Hyambula.

It is also reported a suspected Boko Haram terrorist Mallam Abubakar Kime surrendered to the troops at Benisheikh, Borno State.

Some of the terrorists abandoned their vehicles at the crossing point from Sambisa forest near Komala and Musafanari villages and fled into the bush. The troops opened fire in the bush and injured several of the terrorists.

The Seven Division Strike Group killed four terrorists at the Banki and recovered AK-47 rifles as well as two mobile telephone handsets used by the group.
