THE UAE EXCHANGE & XPRESS MONEY T20 cricket league will resume this weekend at the Kicukiro Oval after a one-week break.
According to Rwanda Cricket Association General Manager, Joshua Mwanja, this weekend matches were supposed to be played last weekend but were postponed to pave way for the Indian Independence Day celebrations.
On Saturday, there is only one game in the women’s league between Charity and White Clouds cricket clubs.
“This two weeks’ break has helped us prepare well and improve our skills and also correct our mistakes that led to the defeat against Queens of Victory in the last match,” said White Clouds Cricket Club star player, Vestine Byukusenge.
Sunday, Victory CC and Indorwa CC will be seeking to win their first games in the preliminaries to boost their chances of qualifying for the semi-finals of the men’s league.
In the afternoon match, Right Guards CC and Telugu CC, who both won their opening games, face-off with the winner already guaranteed top spot in group B.
Meanwhile, the Rwanda Cricket Association has trained 30 children in basic playing.
During the training camp held from August 1-9 in Kicukiro, the kids learned about warm-up, fielding, bating & bowling.
