NAIROBI, KENYA: UK Prime Minister David Cameron has cancelled his official travel to chair a special meeting which address the terror attacks in Kenya which left at least 68 people dead among them three British nationals.
Said Cameron on his twitter handle: “I’m cutting short a visit to Balmoral to return to Downing St to chair COBRA late this afternoon, dealing with the Kenya terror attacks.”
Cameron and UK have been categorical on the attacks in which three British nationals lost their lives after being shot dead by terrorists who attacked the Nairobiâs upscale shopping centre called Westgate.
Cameron said Saturday: âI am sickened by the attack on the #Westgate shopping centre killing 3 British nationals. It’s been done in the name of terror, not religion.â
Earlier, Cameron sent Kenya messages of condolence and announced his government stood with Kenya at this trying moment. âI gave my condolences to President Kenyatta after the attack on the #Westgate shopping centre.
