Utoda buses under the flagship of Awakula Ennume Transporters Cooperative Society Ltd will start plying city routes this week.
State minister for transport, Stephen Chebrot, Monday commissioned the 8 buses for work.
“I hope you will be able to pay all your taxes, meet the contractual agreements with Kampala City Council Authority (KCCA) and my office must be honored to barricade any inconveniences,” Chebrot added.
The commissioning of the first batch of UTODA city buses was held at Tata Uganda Limited headquarters at Lugogo. Tata Uganda Limited sold the first batch of the buses to UTODA at sh2bn.
