Ambassador Sefue who visited VETA pavilion at the 37th Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair (DITF) in the city said that hotel and tourism sectors face problems, including lack of confidence when serving customers.
“Some workers in our hotels seem unfriendly to customers. By producing more confident graduates we shall have workers who render good services to clients,” he explained.
He said VETA should ensure they build capacity for graduates to have more self esteem and believe in themselves in the hotel and tourism industry.
Reacting to Ambassador Sefue’s opinion, VETA Director General, Eng, Zebadiah Moshi said his authority has noted the challenge facing the hospitality industry and has taken steps to address the situation.
