WASHINGTON, July 24, 2013 – The President of the African Development Bank (AfDB) Group, Donald Kaberuka, will be in Washington, DC from July 24 to 27. On the morning of Thursday, July 25, he will be recognized by the U.S. Treasury at a ceremony honoring Multilateral Development Bank projects that have been highlighted for their positive impact on individuals and communities worldwide. He will also meet members of the Senate and Treasury officials.
“These projects were made possible through the African Development Fund, now in its 13th replenishment”, says Kaberuka. “We call on the U.S. and all our partners of the African Development Fund to continue to support us as we push forward to finish the job.”
