Women MPs lack self-esteem – Matembe


The former minster for Ethics and integrity Miria Matembe has said that women Parliamentarians are failing to speak in the House because they lack of self-esteem.

She said many women in Parliament fear to contribute to debate.

Matembe also former Mbarara Woman MP was delivering a sermon at St. Mathew cathedral Kyamate in Ntungamo.

Matembe said many women have failed to fight for their rights while those who have come up misuse the rights and fail to respond to their responsibilities in families.


The former minister noted that women in public life suffer arguing that his life out of parliament has been of freedom and stress-free.

She said she has lived a better than when she still in cabinet. “I fly out of the country and I get my dollars and when they are finished, God calls me again and He gives me some more.”
