Three people have died in separate incidents in Dar es Salaam on Tuesday, including a man identified as Fadhili Selemani (23), a resident of Yombo Vituka, who committed suicide by hanging himself using a piece of rope.

Temeke Regional Police Commander (RPC) Englibert Kiondo said in the city that the motive for taking his own life was not immediately established since he did not leave any message behind.
“The deceased’s body was found hanging on a piece of rope in his room at around 7.45 am on Tuesday at Yombo Vituka in Temeke Municipality,” RPC Kiondo said. RPC Kiondo said that the body was taken to Temeke Hospital for preservation and police were investigating the matter.
In another development, Ilala RPC Ms Marietha Minangi said a pedestrian identified as Muhando Olengadori (40), a resident of Mchikichini, died on the spot after he was knocked by a motorcycle.
Ms Minangi said that the accident occurred when a motorcycle Yamada with registration number Z 393 AN heading for Karume hit the pedestrian along Kawawa Road at Lamada Hotel in Ilala Municipality on Tuesday night.
RPC Minangi said that the police are looking for the motorcycle rider who ran away after the accident. She said that the deceased’s body was taken to Amana Hospital for preservation pending burial arrangements and police investigations are continuing.
Meanwhile, a child identified as Ally Salehe (3), a resident of Pugu Majohe Bombambili drowned in pool of dirty water. RPC Minangi said that the incident occurred when a child was playing with other children.
